01c – Jesus or Yeshua ?
The Name Of The Savior Is Yeshua HaMashiach; It Is Not ‘Jesus Christ’!!
The letter “J” for the jay sound is relatively new — perhaps 400–500 years old. English has many sounds spelled with J which come from native Germanic roots.
In Hebrew, phonetic symbol for the sound of jay is י (yod).
In Latin, the letter for this was I/i,
in Koine Greek the jay sound is Ι/ι (iota),
There was no ‘J’ in Hebrew nor in Koine Greek.. There was and is a letter representing something like ‘Y’ in Hebrew but later translators and editors rendered various names with a ‘J’ in the text.
Koine Greek is a military language developed by Alexander the Great in 300 BC. It was a super accurate language which Alexander’s military conquests spread across the known world. Altho’ Latin was the official language of the Roman Empire, every educated Roman spoke Koine Greek, the original written language of the New Testament.
The Greek language uses an I letter. When the name Yeshua was transliterated into Koine Greek it came out as Iesous
Jesus Hebrew name is Yeshua / Yahshua. The New Testament was written in Greek, then changed into Latin by ‘you know who’, then back to modern Greek. They called Him ‘Iesus’ and the English changed it to a ‘J’ making it ‘Jesus’. … ‘Jehovah’ is an anglicized transliteration of the 4 Hebrew letters used to express His name YHVH
It is generally agreed by historians that Jesus and his disciples primarily spoke Aramaic (Jewish Palestinian Aramaic), the common language of Judea in the first century AD. Paul wrote in Koine Greek and copied many passages directly from Enoch. see https://larryhannigan.com/world-events/9c-book-of-enoch-in-the-new-testament/
1 John 5:7 (KJV)
This has been deliberately removed from most Bibles after 1611
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one”.
1 – God the Father in Hebrew is YHWH ( י ה ו ה), also known as the Tetragrammaton (Greek for “four-letter [word]”). Hebrew is an abjad, so the word’s letters Yōd, Hē, Vav, Hē are usually taken for consonants and expanded to Yahweh in English
2 – God the Son – The Savior – Yeshua HaMashiach; It Is Not Jesus Christ.
3 – God the Holy Spirit The Hebrew language phrase Ruach ha-kodesh (Hebrew: רוח הקודש, “holy spirit” also transliterated ruacḥ ha-qodesh) is a term used in the Hebrew Bible and Jewish writings to refer to the spirit of YHWH (רוח יהוה). He is the comforter Yeshua promised would come to strengthen the Apostles on the day of Penticost, and will remain with Christians up to the day of the First Trumpet in Revelation Chap 8.
